Curriculum - Mr. Zhou Dance Program

Pre- ballet

Recommended to (age group):
    3-older 

What the dancer can achieve(goals):

  1. Stand in a poised manner

  2. Recognize and demonstrate basic ballet movements

  3. Longer attention span

  4. Perform movements under instructions

  5. Present a dance piece with peers

(class structure) What a class usually looks like:

  1. Greeting with manners

  2. Warm-up

  3. Port de Bras - Hands and arms movements

  4. Adagio - Introducing and experimenting new moves slowly

  5. Allegro - Moving with music in place and crossing the floor

  6. Choreography teaching and practice

  7. Reverence - Calm down and leave with proper classroom etiquette

Fall semester roadmap:

CLASS 1-3

  • ballet class manners

  • basic movements practice (piler, etendre, relever )

  • demonstration with beats or music

CLASS 4-7

  • adding up more movements based on previous classes (glisser, sauter)

  • introducing movement fundamentals 

  • choreography teaching

CLASS 8-11

  • adding up more movements based on previous classes (elancer, tourner)

  • introducing chinese dance elements

  • finishing choreography 

  • practice dance in group

CLASS 12

Presentation day

Payment:
    $300 for the fall semester (9/21/19 - 12/4/19)
    12 classes, 45mins each class.

Recommended to (age group):
    5-older 

What the dancer can achieve(goals):

  1. Stand in a poised manner when needed

  2. Understand spatial instructions 

  3. Recognize and demonstrate more basic ballet movements

  4. Longer attention span

  5. Perform movements to a musical phrase.

  6. Present a dance piece with/without peers musically and rhythmically

(class structure) What a class usually looks like:

  1. Greeting with manners

  2. Warm-up

  3. Center exercises: Port de Bras, Plies, Tendus, Grands Battements, Chasses. 

  4. Adage - slow movements phrases

  5. Turning movements practice 

  6. Allegro - Moving with bright tempo music in place and crossing the floor

  7. Choreography teaching and practice

  8. Reverence - Calm down and leave with proper classroom etiquette

Fall semester roadmap:

CLASS 1-3

  • ballet class manners

  • basic movements practice (piler, etendre, relever )

  • demonstration with beats or music

CLASS 4-7

  • adding up movements fundamentals based on previous classes

  • start basic turning and jumping techniques 

  • introducing chinese dance elements 

  • choreography teaching 

CLASS 8-11

  • adding up more movements (elancer, tourner)

  • finishing choreography 

  • practice dance in group

CLASS 12

Presentation day

Payment:
    $300 for the fall semester (9/21/19 - 12/4/19)
    12 classes, 45mins each class.

Fitness Dance Fusion Class (a.k.a Cardio)是以健身为主的舞蹈课程,

Fusion(融合)是在课程里面融合的各种各样的舞蹈风格。
 

包括但不限于:

  1. Chinese Folk Dance, 中国民族舞

  2. Hiphop, 街头嘻哈

  3. Bollywood, 印度宝莱坞

  4. Latin Dance, 美洲拉丁舞

  5. Jazz 爵士舞

  6. Contemporary, 现代舞

  7. Ballet, 芭蕾

  8. African, 非洲舞

  9. Salsa, 拉丁萨尔萨舞蹈

课程不仅可以缓解一天的疲惫,给身体注入活力,更能燃烧你至少700的卡路里!
