The 2027 AMC8 Mathematics Competition will take place on Sun, Jan 24th 2027 from 2:00 PM - 2:40PM. Early bird pricing is $45, after Nov 30th it will be $65. For TongYan Students will be $30. Sign up Deadline is Sunday, Jan 17th. The location will be our Sunday school location: 100 River Dr. S, Jersey City, 07302, also known as the Stevens Cooperative School building. AMC 8 Introduction: The AMC 8 is a national math competition held every January by MAA, for students in Grade 8 or below who are under 15.5 years old on exam day. It’s the first official step in the U.S. math competition track, helping students build problem-solving skills and prepare for future contests like the AMC 10, AIME, and USA(J)MO. Format: 25 multiple-choice questions in 40 minutes Scoring: 1 point per correct answer; no penalty for incorrect Focus: Geometry, Arithmetic & Pre-algebra, strategy, and deep analysis

Cancellation Policy
TongYan School permits parents to request a prorated refund for their child's withdrawal before the beginning of the second class of each semester. In these cases, parents will receive school credit that can be utilized for future enrollment or other school-related expenses. However, once the second class begins, refunds are no longer available.
