Leslie Kerr is a seasoned writer, editor, and educator with over 30 years of experience helping students become confident, skilled writers. She holds a BS in Journalism and an MS in Education, along with a K–12 teaching credential, and has taught English and writing to students in grades 4–12 across California, New York, and Connecticut. Leslie brings a rare blend of professional publishing experience and classroom expertise, offering instruction in academic writing, creative writing, grammar and composition, and admissions and standardized test preparation (ISEE/SSAT, ACT/SAT). Her teaching is centered on helping young people to pursue their individual goals and objectives and to prepare, strengthen, broaden, discover, evolve, and explore their creativity and talents—along with a love for writing! Through structured guidance and thoughtful feedback, Leslie helps students build a strong foundation in the English language while discovering their unique voice and confidence as writers.

Cancellation Policy
TongYan School permits parents to request a prorated refund for their child's withdrawal before the beginning of the second class of each semester. In these cases, parents will receive school credit that can be utilized for future enrollment or other school-related expenses. However, once the second class begins, refunds are no longer available.
